Brief Concert Review

I just got back from the BNL concert at Red Rocks, which is a very cool venue by the way. I had never been there before. enishi2000, we looked for you but couldn't find you!

Anyway, it was a really good concert. Red Rocks is awesome, we could see Mars from our seats, and the night was beautiful. There was hardly anyone smoking in the area I was in, and it wasn't too loud either. Well, once they got the sound board worked out, that is. BNL played a bunch of songs from their new CD (coming out October 21, mark your calendars, kids!) as well as a lot of good older stuff too. Of course, they had their typical antics, such as mocking bands who huff oxygen during concerts, making up random songs about blowing up Mars, the casino/gazebo mixup one of the guys' kids had a problem with, the chicken dance, and a random mandolin solo.

Along with those were about half a dozen songs off the new album, most of which sounded really good. The first single is already being played on Alice, apparently, and is something about chimpanzees but is rather funny. Sorry, ashfae, they didn't play "I'll Be That Girl."

Also, BNL mentioned that they will be back in Denver in November. Hmm, must go to more concerts at Red Rocks...

I'll miss them AGAIN!?! that's just cruel. Ah well; I'm glad the new stuff sounded good.
