Quick Mars Update

willow_redGood news for space fans out there: the first of two Mars Exploration Rovers (nicknamed "Spirit") has landed successfully on the surface of Mars as of ~9:30pm MST. More info as always on nasa.gov and NASA TV.
(Oh, and just because my world hasn't shrunk in a while, the flight director for this mission is a guy I used to work with at Space Grant back in the day. When I heard his name attached to this project, I thought, "no way," but then I got visual confirmation on NASA TV. Dang, that's impressive for a guy who probably isn't even 30 yet.)
