NaNoWriMo Rah!
Nov. 7th, 2004 09:02 pmThe first week of NaNoWriMo has not gone particularly well, and I've been getting really concerned about the sheer crap factor in this year's story. It was beginning to look like I would just blather on for 50k words, without really having much plot to string it together. I skipped two days of writing, despite already being behind on my word count.
Well, I think it's too soon to say that things have totally turned around, but they are certainly improving. After complaining heavily at today's meet-up, I came home, quit procrastinating, and wrote over 2800 words. Rah. Go me. I also introduced a new major character, got a minor character to start speaking (about time!) and switched from first person to third person. This made a huge difference. Here's hoping I can salvage a plot from this thing.
