'Tis the season for work holiday parties, and mine is coming up a week from Thursday. I'm allowed to bring a guest, so I was wondering if anyone reading this would be interested. Said party mainly consists of dinner at The Fort in Morrison, which I've never been to but have heard is really good. This would be in the evening after work.
Anybody interested?

Date: 2006-12-12 07:15 am (UTC)Every year I did pro bono work for NDK as a con translator, I'd get to join the guests they'd invited for that year at the Fort for an evening of, well, food. Lots of it. It's where I first tried Rocky Mountain oysters. And if I remember the pictures on their walls, they've entertained a few heads of states including Clinton and Koizumi.
Anyway, good food, should definitely be a good time.

PS I'd recommend the Negrita for dessert, but I forget that you don't really eat anything with sugar in it. Or was that just sweet stuff in general?

And since that stuff is bad for you in general, I figure I'm better off not knowing what I'm missing. Makes things easier, particularly given my family's history of blood sugar issues.
