Minor Power Trip!

willow_redLast week, I got a postcard in the mail from Nielsen TV, informing me that my household has been chosen to complete a one week survey on the TV I watch. At first, I thought there was no way this was real. I mean, the Nielsen ratings? Does that even still exist? Apparently, it does. I got a phone call tonight, just like the postcard said I would. Sometime in the next couple of weeks, they'll be sending me a packet of information and a TV-watching diary to fill out from Thursday, September 25 to Wednesday, October 1. I think it's about time to get back into watching TV ;). I can count on one hand the number of times I've turned the thing on since May, and two of those times were to watch tapes in my VCR.
Two questions for anyone reading this. First, when does the new season of Angel start? Second, does anyone know when Adult Swim is on Cartoon Network anymore? I lost track of it long ago when they started switching stuff around.
I can tell you right now what will dominate my TV watching that week:
1) Anything Joss Whedon is involved with
2) Nifty cool stuff on Discovery, TLC, etc.
3) Anime on Cartoon Network (yes, it's evil and dubbed, but better than nothing)
This might be my only chance to make my voice heard by the media, and I intend to use it well. Here to represent the geek audience!

Date: 2003-09-09 10:16 am (UTC)In a wacky, I hope you can slighly lie or maybe just wait, kind of way...my sister's horrible WB show (AKA the one she extraed on) is going to be on during that time. I was gonna ask others to watch it, but if you are at all interested I will tape it for you so you can make sure to watch it outside this period.
Having said that: WOOT! That is so totally cool. I believe the Adult Swim starts at 11:30, right after X-men Evolution, though it starts with Family Guy. So maybe it's fairly late.
And I hear that about Firefly!
