It Begins...2010 Words

After much procrastination, I finally got started writing last night. I'm not at all happy with any of it, though I did reach my goal. Unfortunately, most of it was utter dreck. I think everything past word 800 or so was padding. I started babbling about sleep because I was tired. *sigh* I'm not posting an excerpt because I honestly don't want to see what I wrote right now.

Here's hoping for more productivity tonight. I'll be writing while watching Jon Stewart cover the election, along with a good amount of surfing. Good luck to us all! And if you haven't voted yet, stop reading LJ and get out there! The polls are open, so hop to it!

Props to you for getting out there and voting, though. At least your first US election is an interesting one... *laughs weakly* Good plan, taking the knitting. If turnout is anything like I've been hearing, you're going to be there for a while.

yeah. This will be a memorable election. Amazingly enough, I think I was only in line for 15 to 20 minutes. Then there was the amount of time I spent staring at the odd punch-card thing. You'd think that being a rocket scientist I would have found the directions sooner...
