Too Funny

Chatting with illyanarasputin, who has recently been sucked into the abyss that is fanfic, we were discussing what the Wizarding World would look like if Voldemort and his Death Eaters won the war. Because my copy just arrived in the mail yesterday, my mind turned to Firefly, and we came up with the following mapping of characters for the crossover fic that would be horrible, but so much fun:

Harry = Mal
Hermione = Inara
Ron = Simon
Ginny = River
Luna = Kaylee
George = Jayne
Fred = Wash
Angelina = Zoe
Snape = Book

And of course, Death Eaters = Reavers

For the fans of both series, what do you think? Or are we just sick, sick people?

I'd put Ginny as Kaylee and the out-of-touch Luna as River. Dumbledore as Shephard, perhaps?

Ok ...
Zoe is Hermione
Mal, ok, Mal has to be Harry
Wash is Ron
Inara is (ok, I'm a dead woman here) Draco (nobody else clashes the same way)
Kaylee is Cho (able to play with the big boys, but very womanly, too)
River is Luna (psychotic, yet smart)
Simon is Dean (smart, yet softspoken and underappreciated)
Jayne is Sirius (just as likely to hurt your side as help your side and not always there upstairs)
Book is Remus (patient, wise, and always temperate)

But, hey, opinions are like assholes ... everybody's got one and they all stink!

Nononono. If Ron is Simon, then Hermione has to be Kaylee. All the frustrated sexual tension, destroyed every time by Simon acting like a twit? Definitely a Ron-Hermione relationship.

Definitely switch Ginny and Luna for Kaylee and River, at least. And Ron for Wash. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
