I just saw the movie Some Like It Hot with Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis, and Jack Lemmon. Now I know why my mom never showed me Marilyn Monroe movies and I hope to never see one again. Gads! I mean, I try not to be overly PC about things, and I like to think I can take a joke, but the attitudes were just horrifying. If it wasn't so late, I'd call my mom right now and thank her personally for any role she might have played in the Women's Movement in the 1960s. *Shudder* Welcome to my personal pet peeve about stupidity.

Right now, I don't care if I ever date again, so long as I get to keep my brain. *hugs engineering textbooks*

Sorry, illyanarasputin, but that movie just hurt me.

geeks and embarrassment

I have often found that I don't like any movie that's humor seems based on embarrassment... ie, some character does stupid or innapproprate things and everyone else points and laughs.
Wonder if it's just me, or if other geeks in general don't like that kind of movie (possibly due to being the one in real life who was laughed at).
Something about mary is one of those kinds of movies IIRC.
