Happy Chanukah!
Dec. 7th, 2004 10:33 pmHappy Chanukah to all who care. It is coming way too early this year. I have part of
ashfae's gift, and that's about all. No clue what to get for the parents. I'm just glad I was able to find the box that had my menorah in it, plus some leftover candles from previous years, since I didn't have the presence of mind to buy any.
In the meantime, I heard an amusing parody of Outkast's "Hey, Yeah" that was Chanukah themed. It was thoroughly entertaining to hear a Chanukah song that isn't by Adam Sandler (those were good the first hundred times or so) or that stupid dreidel song.
I have lit my candles. May they join with the other festivals of light to beat back the darkness of winter and cease the shortening of days.
Edit: If you would like to know the story of Chanukah, go read today's Something Positive. This has to be one of the funniest versions I've seen.
